Public comment open on the FY26 budget
The District 3 office is reviewing the proposed FY26 budget. Two items I want to hear from neighbors on: (1) the proposed pothole-and-streetlight allocation for the Caldwell/Tichenor corridor, and (2) the senior nutrition program funding level. Saturday clean-up — Caldwell Park, June 14, 9am
Quarterly District 3 community clean-up. Gloves, bags, and water provided. Bring the kids. We will tackle the alley behind Caldwell and the Tichenor median. RSVP through the District 3 office or just show up.
Compton Blvd resurfacing — June 8–14
Heads up — LA County Public Works is resurfacing Compton Blvd between Central and Long Beach the week of June 8. Expect single-lane closures 7am–4pm, no overnight closures. Buses on the 51 will detour via Rosecrans. Reach my office if your business needs accommodation.
